Golf Strategies

Just follow the pictures for the shortest route to the hole. Keep in mind that the suggested clubs are not always correct, it always depends on wind conditions and just exactly where your ball lands, these are just the clubs I usually use. However, you should try to follow the path as closely as possible regardless of what clubs you have to use.

If your ball lands just outside of the green, use the putter to knock it on there, and if theres a sand trap in the way, use your pitching wedge and :barely: hit it to knock it over.

Here we see a given green, with letters representing possible places your ball may land. Once on the green the wind direction is pretty much a non-issue, and slope angle takes over. If the ball lands uphill from the hole, as in position A, you should only give it a slight tap and it will roll all on its own, while if its downhill (position B) you need to give it a pretty good whack. When it lands close (position C), just tap it in (you will know to do this because the picture of the hole on the left of the screen will be very close).

That takes care of the basics. Now, say, the ball lands on spot D, you will need to change the direction of the putt. Give the D pad a :slight: tap to point the arrow one notch left (the direction of the slope will correct the balls path), you have to play to get a feel for how much power to use. Position E is a little harder, but again slightly move the arrow one notch uphill and give it a whack. Very rarely will you need to give the arrow more than one tap, but position F is one such case. Here you would want to move it about 2 notches uphill and hit the ball as hard as you can.

I don't know if this diagram will help or not, putting is largely a trial and error experience.
